Oligarchy, Its Advantages & Disadvantages






Oligarchy
A form of government which consists of rule by an elite group who rule in their own interests, especially the accumulation of wealth and privilege. Only certain members of society have a valid voice in the government. This can reflect (but is not limited to) economic interests, a particular religious tradition (theocracy), or familial rule (monarchy). Pakistan has oligarchy government others include Russia, Iran, South Africa, Ethiopia & Pakistan.

Advantages:
·         People have control over their own lives
·         People deal with issues and vote on them to the degree of which it affects them.
·         It provides people with self-empowerment. 

Disadvantages:
·         It can take a bit of work and some process.
·         It might be hard to come to a consensus
·         It takes a lot of work, time, and effort.
·         Decisions are made in a small group so everyone might not get what they want.
