Many people in the U. S. believe that China is already a superpower, or will quickly become a superpower. China is on its way to becoming the second-largest economy in the world but it will take time. Economically, China’s achievements are indeed impressive. In the past 30 years, China has sustained nearly double-digit growth. However, we need to keep in mind that China started from a very low level of GDP. Much of its growth comes from heavy investment in infrastructure. In 2009, China’s per capita GDP was only about $3,600, compared with $46,000 in the United States. Among the world’s top-10 largest companies, the United States claims five, and China has none. but China today is doing really well in technological world, most of our household items & appliances are made in China, T.V's, Cellphones and in each and every appliances China has got major share in the market as well. Because Labor in China is not expensive that is the reason most of the famous brands are been made in China and finished by other countries like Nokia and laptop brands most of them before were made in Korea, Hungary, Sweden etc but now they are made in China mostly.
China has 3-5 types of qualities in each famous brands of the world and in each product category, in China if one asked them to make this type of product they will make the same product with its first copy, 2nd coy & 3rd copy each has different price. China is also a world leader in clothing, sports wear, handbags and every 3rd-4th product is Chinese in our homes where if one cant afford the real brand it can easily afford the copy of the brand which is not expensive.
